Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jayek Jimenez (born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. Her professional career began in Mexico by playing a lead role in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. She soon established herself in Hollywood through appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's performance as Frida Kahlo as a painter, in Frida (2002) which was a biographical film she wrote and produced, earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[66. In addition, she received her Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Hayek continued to produce her films, and also starred in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico later on in her career.
