Summer glau

The success of Firefly was partly due to the fact she was the lead actress in Whedon's new TV show, Firefly. Summer Glau played River Tam with great ease. Glau was an excellent actor. Tam or Tam, as the character in the film called, was subjected to government experiments that were designed to create her into a perfect assassin. Tam's emotional control was removed in direct consequence. On Firefly Glau was capable of displaying not only her acting ability but also her skills in fighting. Glau had the ability to use her athletic talent since she was preparing to be an assassin. Summer Glau was classically-trained as a ballerina. She has also studied tango and Flamenco, but an injury to her foot put an end to her dancing career. Firefly ran for just one season, however it built an enthusiastic audience. Whedon got so passionate about Firefly that he went back a couple years later. While he was away, Summer Glau continued to get some quality work. Her appearances on television programs like Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
