Lis Wiehl works as an American writer and legal analyst who previously worked as a Fox News analyst.
She is adjunct professor of Law, New York Law School. In the past, she was an associate professor of Law University of Washington Law School. Legal commentaries have been provided to National Public Radio and Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. She has appeared on weekly shows like The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File alongside Megyn Kelly, Lou Dobbs Tonight, the Imus morning show and is the host of the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl is a native of Yakima, and grew up at Yakima within Washington State, graduated in Yakima in the state of Washington from West Valley High School. She completed her studies at Barnard College with a Bachelor's degree at the age of 33 in. In 1985, she earned the Master of Arts degree in Literature from the University of Queensland. And in 1987, she received a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
Wiehl was a prosecutor in the US Attorney's office. She served as a legal correspondent on NPR's All Things Considered. She was "the deputy chief investigative counsel for Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee during Clinton's impeachment." She taught law as a tenured professor at University of Washington School of Law Seattle which she was the manager of the Trial Advocacy Program from 1995 until 2001. Wiehl worked as a Fox News legal analyst from 2001 until 2017.
